hi guys
i have a confusion. i want to know that does google really give any weight to heading tags in page optimization.
i have analyzed a bit and check all websites that have high rank in google and believe to me hardly any of them giving proper h1 and h2 tags
what is your experience in this case

what is your experience in this case I have removed the tags from some pages and seen upwards movement in SERPs.... This could have been other factors... not enough pages or time to say for certain. but definately no drop in ranking. Would love to be sure.... I think they are going the way of meta keywords.... Maybe still helpful with other engines.

I think it may be a coincidence because, as far as I know, it's only the raw text that gets affected in indexing. I'm not 100% sure of this however and would be very curious to hear from anyone who knows for sure.

well as far as i know
now google gives less weight to h tags. i think now a days if you create a page and use STRONG tag or Bold tag for heading then it is as important as you use h tags.

what is your experience in this case i don;t think now a days google much consider h tags. but well yahoo consider them seriously
