HI,
I am working as a Test Lead working on a Oracle apps project.I wanted to create an excel spreadsheet which tracks the Integration testing End- to-End from Order Creation to AR(Order to Cash Lifecycle).Does any one provide me a template where i can track this.the tytpical process includes various systems integrated.
1.System 1-Creating orders- Oracle team sends a list of items and order type to be created to this team -Step 1
2. System 1 team creates the orders and sends to Oracle team.
3.Oracle team validates the order and allocates the order for a particular warehouse.
4. Now the order goes to one more external system WMS( warehouse mgmt system) where it gets picked and packed and ship confiremed.
5.WMS team Ship Confirms and sends ti back to ORacle team.
6.Oracle team validated and Ship Confirms within Oracle and sends it to Oracle AR
7.The AR functional person runs the accounting for the order and confirms that everyting is fine and closes the order.
Please let me know if any one of you have worked in a similar system and tracked the results in a spreadsheet. the process includes sending a mail to each and every team and receving confirmations from them again in a mail and send them bak that we have checked and confirmed.This way my inbox gets flooded with mails and its v difficult to track what orders got created,processed and passed. So, if someone suggests a better approach , a central place where we can track all the above things,a better approach,people who have worked on similar projects can share their ideas.
