duplicate content problem Options

hi all

i have very serious duplicate content problem. i have http://www.mysite.com and http://mysite.com both indexed by google. but it is same site so its content is same. all my back links are on http://mysite.com.

please help me how to solve this problem

hi sachin

it is very easy and very common problem. go to google webmaster tools and set your preffard URL. and remove other url from google index.

That is the best way to fix it I believe. How did this happen in the first place? It seems like that's far too easy a problem to have happen and Google should be able to recognize that http://whatever and http://www.whatever are the same thing.
